PARIS PERIPHERIQUE
Ever driven 'round the Paris peripherique (somewhere in between London's North circular and M25 ) at 100 m.p.h.?
Some years ago we had been invited by the British council to perform in Palestine. As the dates coincided with a french tour our flights were booked by the British Council on a 6a.m. flight from Orly airport in Paris (according to all the information) After a nightmarish scenario of rushing around a (virtually empty) Orly airport trying to find our non existent plane only to be met with Gallic shrugs and worse, we found out that we had been sent to the wrong airport - in fact we should have been at Charles de Gaulle (the other side of Paris).

A mad (and seemingly pointless as it was now 5.30 a.m.) dash at 100 m.p.h. began around the peripherique. Immense satisfaction was gained from cutting up and playing those traffic terrorists
FRENCH TAXI DRIVERS! at their own game.

By the way, we made it to Tel Aviv - the plane was delayed.
