HOW MUCH!?
So there we were in Paris in our post ski trip feelgood haze for a gig at the Musee Maillol to celebrate the engagement of Peter & Belinda. After the museum closed the party continued in a nearby night club. The Brasshoppers were looked after superbly by the bridegroom to be who instructed the waiter to charge all our drinks to his tab. Several rounds later we were a little the worse for wear but still going strong, so ...... we ordered some more bottles of beer. The waiter returned with drinks only to inform us that our generous benefactor had gone and that he would now have to charge us. This seemd very reasonable as we asked in our ropy French 'combien'? The waiter replied 90 francs - which seemd very reasonable for 7 or 8 beers in a posh Parisien nightclub. 100 francs was given and 10 given back.
The waiter err .....waited.
The penny err.... dropped
The beer was err....... expensive!
