1980s
The Liverpool Street Band was made up of 20+
amateur & semi pro musicians were having a lot of fun playing weddings,
parties and festivals in the North West
Inspired by the likes of Abdullah Ibrahim, The Dirty Dozen Brass Band,
Lester Bowie et al some of those musicians formed The Brasshoppers
in 1988.

establish themselves on the UK street festival scene
After two years of playing festivals and busking around the U.K. the

USA. band performs at The Houston International
Festival and The French Quarter Festival in New Orleans jamming
alongside members of The Dirty Dozen and Rebirth brass bands
in clubs such as the legendary Glasshouse.

6 week festival tour of Canada
Featured live on BBC's Blue Peter
