String Music
  Scherzo for 10 Solo Strings
Like the orchestral piece Streaming this is music which treads the borderline between thematic and texture music. Unlike the orchestral piece, however, Scherzo does not contain themes that are instantly recognisable, but, rather, ideas, shapes and harmonies. It is also more stridently dissonant, written in an older more 'modernist' style.

Instrumentation:
5 violins, 2 violas, 2 cellos, 1 double bass
