We have an extensive stock of emblems which we refer to as 'List Emblems'. These are detailed below. You should bear in mind that not all emblems will fit on all plaques, especially the smaller plaques and the rectangular ones. If in doubt, contact us and we can check if the emblem would fit on the plaque of your choice, together with the wording you require. These List Emblems are only £50 extra, unless otherwise stated in the tables below.
Emblems designed to your own specifications are our speciality. All we need from you is a rough sketch, drawing or photograph, to give us an idea of what you want, and we will do the rest. Alternatively, you can leave it to us to work from our own reference sources. The cost of these Special Emblems depends on the complexity of the design. As soon as you advise us of the details we can give you a quote. The minimum charge is £90.
The Special Emblems start life as a working line drawing. This is then moulded, in modelling clay, into a 3-dimensional emblem. A plaster mould is taken from the clay and resin is cast into the plaster to produce the finished emblem. The emblem is fixed to the pattern and becomes an integral part of the plaque during the casting process. Finally, the emblem is painted in detail, by our artist.
