TRAWLER PORTIA.

North Sea Side Trawler.

When introduced to service in 1956 "PORTIA" had many new features that were revolutionary in the world of deep sea fishing, although now her type does not exist any more, (other than in museums) she was designed for deep sea palegic trawling in Icelandic waters and off the continental shelf around Rockall.

She does however represent what most people think of as a trawler of her times, a large and attractivly lined vessel of handsom proportions.

Our well made hull is complemented with a nicely detailed single sheet plan, this enables a detailed and busy model to be built, ideal for single electric motor and R/C she makes a robust model that looks good on the water and is able to takle the roughest of water conditions, suitable for the first time builder.
