WWII. Royal Air Force Air Sea Rescue Launch.

Our model hull of the "FAIRMILE D" (Dog) gives you a base for building one of the best known and most successful motor boats to see service in WWII. The "FAIRMILE D" served in many theatres of war in many different roles. The subject of our plan boat No.017, this particular craft was built be William Osbourne Ltd of Littlehampton, she was supplied to the RAF. as a long range Air Sea Rescue Craft, for this role she was not fitted with all the standard heavy equipment, a defensive armament of two single and one twin 20mm. oerlikons were fitted controlled by aircraft type direction finding gear, extra long range tanks and scramble nets. The distinctive hull torpedo scollops remained.

Our hull features the main chine lines and torpedo scollop lines moulded in. Perfect for R/C and capable of good speeds with multi-screw propulsion, the hull makes up into a interesting and different model with excellent on the water performance, Supplied with Full-size high detail plans drawn for us be Marbeth Designs. A model suitable for experienced or beginner alike.
