This release of the "LOYAL MODERATOR" is of a typical 'Loyal' class Royal Navy fleet auxiliary, built by Richard Dunstons in 1975 she is one of a Class of 10 vessels originally built for training duties with the RNXS, they were a follow-on to the 29 vessels of the 'Cartmel' class. These small general purpose tenders were a very familiar sight in most navy bases up to quite recently.

This is a small model and can be built either for R/C. use or a static model.

HULL & MATERIALS PACKAGE.

This is another new type of package for the modeller and the Pack features the following:-

A really well moulded and accurate GRP hull, finished in white.

A materials pack of white matt/matt H.I.P.S. (high impact polystyrene sheet) 1.5mm, 1mm & 0.75mm, all sheet nominal size of 660 x 274. All this material being quickly and easily glued with ordinary styrene adhesive.

6mm x 3mm x 660mm. strip styrene for fixing the decking to the GRP hull and for corner reinforcements.

The drawings pack consist of a full-size large single sheet re-mastered general arrangement plan this shows the names of all the vessels of the class and other details.

A new drawing with full-size drawings of all deck pieces, superstructure, wheelhouse, hatch covers and companionways, all these shapes can readily be transferred straight to the styrene sheet, parts can then be cut out and glued together, this highly accurate drawing will greatly help and speed construction.

Our own unique 'Construction Booklet' (this is full of useful hints and tips and illustrations on how to put together and finish one of our GRP Hull packages) helps make the construction of the model fairly simple, straightforward and quick, a perfect subject for beginner or expert alike.

All drawings and booklets have been prepared by David Metcalf and are clear, straightforward and simple to follow, they will make construction quicker and simpler than normal.

The above package allows for a really nice small model to be made relatively quickly, at 1:48 scale many commercial fittings are readily available, fitted with a single '385' motor her performance on the water is excellent, her small size makes her easy to transport and ideal for regatta work or just cruising the lake. She is not a difficult model to make and can be readily tackled by the beginner.
