HMS SABRE.
Royal Navy Scimitar Class Fast Training Boat.
This model of "HMS. SABRE" was a `Scimitar' class fast training boat, based on the highly succesful `Brave' class. Three boats were built, the other two being `Scimitar' and `Cutlass'. All were powered by 2 Rolls Royce Proteus gas turbines and were capable of over 40knots, two Foden diesels were fitted for cruising. Each was capable of being fitted with a third gas turbine and and gun armament if required.
This is a semi-scale model that is ideal for the modeller who wants a fast model, built light weigth and fitted with R/C. and two `540' type motors performance on the water is quite exciting.
