STRUCTURAL SURVEY

A full structural survey is usually carried out before a building is purchased.  The purpose of the structural survey is to provide the purchaser with information on the condition of the building.  This means that the buyer will have knowledge of the work that may need to be carried out to the building and of things that may need repairing in the near future.  The cost of doing this work can therefore be taken into account at the time of purchase of the property.
