Programme of Events

Fellowship of Meditation groups meet throughout this country and in other parts of the world too. There may be one near where you live. Contact us to find out. Meetings for meditation last about 45 minutes. See Conduct of a meeting.

Residential meetings, called 'gatherings', take place at various retreat houses, and particularly at our headquarters at Dorchester, Dorset, in the U.K. We call them 'gatherings' because a group of members and friends come together in fellowship and meditation.

Most last from Friday evening until after lunch on Sunday, but a few take place in mid week. They are a great source of quiet joy and strength .... and of fellowship.

We also have Silent Weekends, where there is no talking after the introductory meal until the last meeting is over.

Enquirers' gatherings are dedicated to newcomers to contemplative meditation, but we find that we happily accept newcomers at our regular gatherings. People living near a gathering often come to meditate with us for as much of the time as they can spare.

The programme for 2012 has been arranged as follows at our
retreat house in Dorchester

November 23-25 (silent gathering)

We hold gatherings in other parts of the country:

Stanton House, Oxford, June 8-10

Whalley Abbey, Lancs. July 2-6

Holland House, Cropthorne, Worcs. August 10-13

Clare Priory, Suffolk, October 5-7
