Our delightful little detached stone cottage has recently been converted from an 18th Century barn. (Shippon is an old Dales word for cowbyre)
It occupies a superb position with panoramic views and is surrounded by open countryside. Our cottage is furnished to a very high standard and has every modern facility, combined with Victorian stripped pine doors and furniture. It is totally on ground floor level and has a garden adjoining.

How to get to THE SHIPPON

Wensleydale is the valley of the River Ure, renowned for its beauty and charm, and is the widest and most gentle of the Yorkshire Dales, also the home of the famous Wensleydale Cheese. If you want peace and relaxation, where the pace of life is still slow and easy, then come and stay at The Shippon and enjoy perhaps the most beautiful, unspoiled holiday area in the country.
